Seville

On May 18th, 2019 we took a class trip to the city of Seville. The city is about 1.5 hours from Cordoba and we took a bus to get there. Once we got to the city, we were met by a tour guide that took us on a tour that lasted about 3 hours. During these three hours, we went to the cathedral where Christopher Columbus is buried, we went to a royal palace where the show Game of Thrones did some of their filming and we went to the second largest plaza in the entire world, Plaza de Espana. The first thing we saw was an old boat house where they used to make boats that went directly into the river. The river is about 17 km from the Atlantic Ocean. In this old boat house, some filming of the show Game of Thrones was filmed inside. In the show, this boat house is the place that is underneath the Red Keep in Kings Landing in the show. Next we made our way to the cathedral where Christopher Columbus is buried. In this cathedral, there are very magnificent ornaments and sculptures. After we went to the Cathedral, we saw a building where there used to be a hub for merchants and sellers when Columbus discovered the Americas. After that we went to the royal palace of Seville, in this palace is where they filmed the realm of Dorne in Game of Thrones. The place has a rich history of Spain and very beautiful gardens and architecture. Lastly, we went to visit a church with very magnificent architecture and sculptures. After we ate lunch, we went to the second largest plaza in the world, this plaza was amazing to see and witness.




El 18 de mayo de 2019 hicimos un viaje de clase a la ciudad de Sevilla. La ciudad está a aproximadamente 1,5 horas de Córdoba y tomamos un autobús para llegar allí. Una vez que llegamos a la ciudad, nos recibió un guía que nos llevó a un recorrido que duró aproximadamente 3 horas. Durante estas tres horas, fuimos a la catedral donde está enterrado Cristóbal Colón, fuimos a un palacio real donde el espectáculo Juego de Tronos hizo parte de su filmación y fuimos a la segunda plaza más grande del mundo, la Plaza de España. Lo primero que vimos fue una vieja casa de botes donde solían hacer botes que iban directamente al río. El río está a unos 17 km del océano Atlántico. En esta vieja casa del barco, se filmó una película del espectáculo Juego de tronos. En el show, esta casa barco es el lugar que se encuentra debajo de Red Keep en Kings Landing en el show. Luego nos dirigimos a la catedral donde está enterrado Cristóbal Colón. En esta catedral, hay ornamentos y esculturas muy magníficas. Después de que fuimos a la Catedral, vimos un edificio donde solía haber un centro para comerciantes y vendedores cuando Colón descubrió las Américas. Después de eso fuimos al palacio real de Sevilla, en este palacio es donde filmaron el reino de Dorne en Juego de tronos. El lugar tiene una rica historia de España y muy hermosos jardines y arquitectura. Finalmente, fuimos a visitar una iglesia con arquitectura y esculturas muy magníficas. Después de almorzar, fuimos a la segunda plaza más grande del mundo, fue increíble ver y presenciar esta plaza.
